FAQs
Quick answers about Exit Operation for commuters and partners.
What is Exit Operation?
Exit Operation gives carriage‑ and door‑level guidance on the London Underground so you exit faster, make cleaner interchanges, and avoid bottlenecks.
How is this different from Google Maps or Citymapper?
Traditional maps get you from A→B. Exit Operation adds the missing layer: where to stand on the train for the quickest exit or interchange. It complements not replaces your current journey planner.
Which areas are covered?
Coverage spans All London Underground Stations. We’re designed to scale to Overground, DLR, National Rail links, and other cities.
How accurate is the data?
Data is compiled station‑by‑station and validated against real layouts. We maintain a change log and update when platforms, barriers, or passenger flows change.
Is there an app? Can I integrate this with my maps?
A standalone app is under consideration. Today, partners can use our API / dataset to add carriage‑level guidance directly inside their apps and trip planners.
Who uses Exit Operation?
Everyday commuters, visitors, and platform partners (e.g., mapping apps, operators, and mobility providers) who want to reduce dwell times and improve UX.
Do you offer partnerships or licensing?
Yes. We license data and provide an API with clear SLAs. Ideal for Google Maps, Citymapper, TfL, and others looking to add carriage‑level intelligence.
How often is the dataset updated?
On a rolling basis. We publish periodic refreshes and push urgent fixes when stations change layouts or access patterns.
What about accessibility and step‑free routes?
Accessibility matters. Our roadmap includes explicit step‑free carriage positions, lift locations, and wide‑aisle gate guidance.
